  • Updated Statement by Chancellor Ward on UW Fund Balances May 6, 2013 I have appreciated the discussion I have heard on campus regarding the fund balances carried by University of Wisconsin System schools. As I wrote in the April 25 email on this subject, the funds in these accounts are used to help UW–Madison succeed in its academic and research missions. I am following up to give you more specifics about the funds, and to clarify some points about them.
  • UW Day at the Capitol showcases research, innovation April 5, 2013 Thursday, April 4 was the annual UW-Madison, UW-Extension and UW Colleges Day at the Capitol. The event presented to legislators and the public the many ways that the innovation and research at the UW makes an impact all across Wisconsin.
  • UW–Madison, UW–Extension and UW Colleges Day comes to the Capitol April 3, 2013 Engaging exhibits and special demonstrations will bring opportunities for learning and collaboration as part of UW-Madison, UW-Extension and UW Colleges Day at the State Capitol on Thursday, April 4.
  • Senior to use Twitter in UW System "Knowledge Powers Wisconsin" campaign Feb. 25, 2013 Nate Moll is infamous among friends and colleagues for wearing his tour guide hat. Now, Moll will use Twitter to showcase his many other hats and the best that UW-Madison has to offer as the third voice behind @UWPowersMe, a UW System initiative that features student, faculty and alumni from a different UW school each week.
  • Statement of Interim Chancellor Ward on Gov. Walker’s Budget Proposal Feb. 20, 2013 Interim Chancellor David Ward said Wednesday that Gov.
