During the regular academic year, nearly 500 UW-Madison students participate in Badger Volunteers each semester. The summer session operates on a much smaller scale with just 27 registered volunteers. It is 10 weeks long, from mid-June to mid-August.

A volunteer program that started small now spreads the enthusiasm and generosity of more than 400 UW-Madison students each semester to schools, community centers, food banks and more. Starting Tuesday, Jan. 18, students can begin registering online to take part in the program during spring semester.
