Eavesdrop on the beginning of time this Friday evening (May 30, 2014) at UW–Madison’s Space Place, 2300 S. Park St.

Beginning at 7 p.m., a live feed from the World Science Festival in New York, “Ripples From the Big Bang: Listening to the Beginning of Time,” will be hosted in the Space Place auditorium. Space Place is located in the Villager Mall.

Moderated by Columbia University physicist Brian Greene, the program will feature several eminent cosmologists, astronomers and physicists discussing recent evidence of ripples in the fabric of space-time produced by the Big Bang.

Other participants include cosmologist Andre Linde of Stanford University, MIT physics Professor Alan Guth, Columbia University physicist Amber Miller, and Princeton physicist Paul Steinhardt.

The 90-minute program is free and open to the public. Audience members will be able to submit discussion questions to the panel via e-mail.
