Science Night is learning for the whole family

November 19, 2013 By Chris Barncard

Discover your inner scientist with help from UW–Madison researchers at Family Science Night, presented by South Madison Promise Zone and UW Space Place.

A group of Madison community and nonprofit organizations have come together to provide an opportunity to enjoy learning and exploring as a family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at UW Space Place, 2300 S. Park St.

Family Science night will play host to investigation stations featuring hands-on experiments and amazing exhibits from astronomy to zoology aimed at curious minds of all ages. Inspiring Wonders of Physics shows — starting at 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. — teach children scientific concepts and processes with conversation-starting demonstrations they can relate to their everyday world. And there will be animals, to boot.

Enjoy free food and free admission thanks to generous sponsorship from the Urban League of Greater Madison and Goodman South Madison Library.
