Here’s a map showing the changes to the popular Route 80 campus bus route.

Based on feedback from the campus community, a collaborative effort between the city of Madison, Metro Transit and UW Transportation Services has resulted in an adjustment to the Route 80 campus bus service.

Beginning with the start of service on Thursday, Oct. 18, Route 80 will be adjusted to provide service on Observatory Drive up Bascom Hill.

The bus will now proceed from Dayton Street to Lake Street, and instead of continuing to Langdon Street will head west on University Avenue to Park Street. It will then proceed on Park Street to Observatory Drive and travel west to continue the regular route at Charter Street and Linden Drive.

Please see the attached map for a diagram of the adjusted route and the changes in available stops. The route will now service the stops on University Avenue at Fitch Court, on Park Street at State Street Mall, on Observatory Drive at Bascom Hall and on Observatory Drive at Charter Street.

Four stops on Lake Street and Langdon Street will be closed:

  • Lake at University northbound (Stop #0765)
  • Lake at State northbound (#0091)
  • Langdon at Lake westbound (#0040)
  • Langdon at Park westbound (at the Memorial Union)
