Recent Sightings: Global perspective

During a Global House Party event at the University Club at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on Monday, Sept. 24, postdoctoral geography student Kevin Gibbons speaks about his 2004-07 experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. The event, sponsored by the Returned Peace Corp Volunteers of UW-Madison and the Peace Corps Campus Recruiting Office, celebrated Peace Corps members’ experiences and sought to encourage new generations of volunteers. Earlier this year, UW-Madison marked a milestone, surpassing 3,000 alumni who have served in the Peace Corps in the program’s half-century history.
