Street repairs on eastbound Linden Drive to begin Wednesday

June 12, 2012 By

Starting Wednesday, June 20, Linden Drive between Charter Street and Babcock Drive will be closed to eastbound traffic for approximately three weeks for concrete street repairs.

All eastbound buses and other vehicles will be detoured onto Observatory Drive. Westbound traffic on Linden Drive will not be affected and pedestrian access will be maintained.

Access to all parking lots along Linden Drive, including Lots 20, 21, 23, 27 and 30, will be maintained, but permit holders will need to approach the lots from Charter Street and exit them in a westbound direction only.

The eastbound Madison Metro bus stops on Linden Drive will not be served until the street reopens. The stop on Babcock Drive across from Microbial Sciences will also be closed. Eastbound Metro buses will drop riders off at the usual stops along Observatory Drive. The last stop will be at Charter and Observatory, as it is this week.

The road will be reopened to both directions of traffic for about two weeks and then closed again for milling and repaving with asphalt.
