May 16, 2012 By Greg Bump

HR Design teams are looking for feedback on a new round of draft recommendations to develop a new, more effective personnel system for UW–Madison.

The project’s four Phase 2 work teams, covering Employee Development, Performance Management, Transition and Succession and Workplace Flexibility, released their preliminary recommendations this week and are looking for feedback from campus. The draft recommendations can be found here.

A series of campus engagement events are planned to gather feedback. The first session is 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. today (Thursday, May 17) in the Marquee Theater in Union South. The session will be in English, with Tibetan and Hmong.

The second engagement event is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, in the Memorial Union’s Great Hall. The session will be in English and Spanish.

A session beginning at 11 p.m. on May 22, designed for second- and third-shift workers, will be held in the Class of 1924 Reception Room in the Memorial Union. The session will last 90 minutes and will be in English, Tibetan and Hmong.

Phase 2 team members will answer questions and take comments on the draft recommendations during a Web chat from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23. Join the chat by clicking here.

Questions or comments may also be sent to hrdesign@news.wisc.edu

The phase 2 teams will integrate the feedback into revised recommendations to be released Tuesday, June 19.
