City seeks faculty, staff to help students vote

The city of Madison clerk’s office is seeking UW–Madison faculty and staff to serve as special registration deputies to provide assistance to students as they exercise their right to vote in upcoming elections.

Under state law, any qualified elector can serve as a special registration deputy. To qualify, individuals must have completed an approved training program within the last two years. The training requirement can be fulfilled by watching an online video available here.

The spring primary is set for Feb. 21, with the spring general election to follow on April 3. The fall primary will be held on Aug. 14, with the general election on Nov. 6.
