September 9, 2009

Ironman Wisconsin, featuring a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run, will descend upon Madison on Sunday, Sept. 13, and several campus roads will be closed to accommodate the event.

Starting with the swim at the Monona Terrace, the race route will cover several on- and near-campus streets, including State Street, the Howard Temin Lakeshore Path, Observatory Drive, Walnut Street, University Avenue, Breese Terrace and Spring Street.

This maps shows the route the Ironman Wisconsin racers will follow.
