It may be noisy, cramped or even critter-infested, but when you're a student, it's home sweet home. At least that's how alumni remember their days living off campus, and they share their stories in the latest edition of <a href="http://www.uwalumni.com/waamembers/insidermagazine/insidermagazine.aspx">Badger Insider</a> magazine. Badger Insider is an exclusive publication for members of the <a href="http://www.uwalumni.com/">Wisconsin Alumni Association</a> (WAA). The summer 2009 edition features a look at the adventures that over the years have become part of the UW-Madison college experience. According to these alumni stories, when students live in apartments and homes near campus, their living arrangements are sometimes dubious, but always memorable. In addition, the summer 2009 issue of Badger Insider includes: <ul> <li>Co-Op Scenes: What the university's influence has meant for the thriving cooperative-living community in Madison.</li> <li>Ask Abe: Understanding what's behind the claims that WHA Radio at UW-Madison is "the oldest continuously operating radio station in the nation."</li> <li>Badgering: Catch up with Elizabeth "Bo" Black, a former Homecoming queen and Playboy model who for two decades directed Milwaukee's Summerfest, the nation's largest music festival. </li> </ul> Each issue features articles about UW-Madison history, points of campus pride and the Badger experience, as written and photographed by UW-Madison alumni. The magazine also highlights the lives and experiences of UW-Madison alumni and WAA members around the world. Badger Insider is delivered to WAA members three times per year. The only way to receive Badger Insider, Flat Bucky and other exclusive benefits is to be a member of the Wisconsin Alumni Association. All alumni and friends are welcome.
