Homecoming Committee membership drive in full swing
Jan. 20, 2009
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Homecoming Committee is looking for enthusiastic, passionate Badgers to join in planning the 2009 Homecoming celebration.
The UW Homecoming Committee is a nonprofit, student-run organization sponsored by the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA). Through a week of events, the committee brings together students, alumni and the greater Madison community in celebration of UW-Madison.
Students who want to improve their leadership skills, meet new people and have fun are encouraged to apply. More information and an online application are available here. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, via the online form or delivered to the Wisconsin Alumni Association at 650 N. Lake St.
If you are interested in having a student speak to your organization about what it’s like to be on the UW Homecoming Committee, contact 2009 executive co-chairs Whitney Bauer and Karyn Christianson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Founded in 1861, WAA offers UW-Madison alumni and friends a wide variety of services, including the award-winning On Wisconsin and Badger Insider magazines, career services, student programming, international travel opportunities and lifelong learning events.
