UW historian’s interview with PBS canceled
Nov. 7, 2008
Airline flight delays led to cancelation of an interview with William (Will) Jones, an associate professor of history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, on the PBS television series “Bill Moyers Journal” tonight.
Jones specializes in 20th century America, with a particular emphasis on race, class and work. He and Columbia University history professor Eric Foner, who specializes in political and African-American history, were to speak with Moyers about the historic implications of Barack Obama’s election this week and the potential for progressive change during the Obama administration.
