A six-part weekly video report that showcases some of the major ideas emerging from the UW-Madison 2009 Reaccreditation Project debuts today (Oct. 1) on the Wisconsin Week Wire.
The first video installment features astronomy professor Robert Mathieu and English professor Michael Bernard-Donals.
Each video will feature interviews with leaders of the six reaccreditation “theme teams.” The teams were built around the top priorities for UW-Madison’s future, as identified by extensive input from faculty, staff, students, alumni and the public.
The “theme teams” forged recommendations for the university that are being finalized in a report to the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Visit this site for more detail on the project.
Mathieu and Bernard-Donals were co-leaders of the team charged with “Rethinking the Public Research University.” The video represents an overview of the team’s ideas; for an in-depth report, visit the executive summary here.
This video series was co-produced for the Reaccreditation Project by University Communications and the Instructional Media Development Center in the School of Education.
