Davis House, Eagle Heights and international students and scholars, in the wake of a recent student death. UW-Madison student Hao Yu was found dead in an Eagle Heights apartment Sunday, July 6. Yu, 19, of Nanking, China, had been staying with friends at the time. “We’re saddened by this loss of a member of our community and will do anything we can to support others who may be impacted,” says Dean of Students Lori Berquam. Laurie Cox, director of International Student Services, adds, “Hao will be missed by many at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Our thoughts go out to his parents and other family members during this time of grief and mourning.” Preliminary findings from an autopsy indicate that Yu died of natural causes, according to the Dane County coroner’s office.
