Six UW-Madison faculty elected AAAS fellows

In recognition of their contributions to science, six members of the UW-Madison faculty have been elected Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Elected AAAS Fellows at a recent meeting of the AAAS council are: Samuel H. Gellman, professor of chemistry; Nancy Pulane Keller, professor of food microbiology and toxicology; Ronald L. Numbers, professor of history of science; Michael R. Sussman, professor of biochemistry and director of the UW-Madison Biotechnology Center; Donald M. Waller, professor of botany; and John C. Wright, professor of chemistry.
In addition to the six UW-Madison faculty members recognized, two others from Wisconsin - Michael Strigel, executive director of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters; and John Ralph of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Dairy Forage Research Center - were honored by AAAS.
