New ‘rich media’ message created for business community

April 14, 2005

The Office of Corporate Relations has produced a new “rich media” communication for the business community describing the services of OCR and the resources of UW–Madison.

The message, which is two minutes and 38 seconds long, is being distributed via email, as well as being posted on the OCR home page.

The message, “Putting the Resources of a World-Class University to Work for Your Business,” is a combination of a video message from OCR Managing Director Charles Hoslet, a series of slides that support his message, and a hyperlink to the OCR home page that provides more information about accessing the university’s resources for business.

“We are using this new communications technology to reach members of the business community in Wisconsin and beyond with our basic message that UW–Madison has a wealth of resources and assets that can help them compete and flourish,” Hoslet said.

Hoslet called the new communications technology “a highly efficient way of presenting our message directly to our key audiences, both off and on campus.”
