Webcast: Taking action on substance abuse treatment

Every year, more than 23 million Americans are in need of treatment for a substance abuse disorder, but fewer than 10 percent actually receive treatment. The Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment (NIATx), led by UW–Madison industrial engineering Professor Emeritus Dave Gustafson, works with addiction treatment and behavioral health care organizations across the country to advance addiction treatment as a core part of the health care system.
