A second Titan Arum or "corpse flower", standing 67 inches tall as
of July 29, 2002, is expected to bloom later this week in the UW-Madison Botany
Greenhouse. This rare and malodorous flowering plant blooms only two or three
times during an average 40-year life span and follows a different Titan Arum
plant which bloomed at the greenhouse on June 7, 2001.
