The expression “never a dull moment” rings true at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where each day people come together to teach, to learn, to explore, to discover and to share. As another year on this thriving campus wraps up — and a new decade is about to begin — University Communications photographers have chosen a sampling of images from 2009. Although these photos only skim the breadth and depth of activities at a public research university, they capture the people and places that make UW-Madison such a dynamic environment.
From the dance studio to the soccer field, from sunshine on the Terrace to bubbles at commencement, and from a lovely spring day to a snowball fight on Bascom Hill, the campus hums with what makes it special — and with what is to come.
