An Icy Melody
Gentle waves from Lake Mendota shift and fracture ice cover beginning to form along the campus shoreline on Dec. 18. The motion of the floating sheets of ice produced a wind-chime-like musical melody that could be heard by those walking along much of the Temin Lakeshore Path.
