Muir Woods
Muir Woods is surprisingly quiet and secluded, despite its location near several classroom buildings and those climbing up or down Bascom Hill on the central campus. Named for John Muir, who attended the UW in the early 1860s and became a renowned naturalist and conservation leader, this spot offers a diverse array of trees and flowers.
