Slide show: Favorite natural places on campus
Lakeshore Path
No matter the conveyance of choice — biking, walking, running, rollerblading or cross-country skiing — the Howard Temin Lakeshore Path is one of the campus’s most popular destinations. The path, located alongside Lake Mendota, in 1998 was named in honor of the late Howard Temin, a UW oncology professor and Nobel Prize winner who regarded the path as an ideal place for quiet reflection.
