An amalgam of glass and brick, new dining venues and an abundance of recreational opportunities, a gleaming new Union South opens its doors at UW–Madison in a series of grand opening events from April 15–17. The sleek structure is sprawling but inviting, providing a stark contrast to its awkwardly designed, faded and underused predecessor. Its restaurants, climbing wall, bowling alleys, spacious meeting rooms and performance spaces are designed to make it a people magnet and a vibrant gathering spot. Its striking interior features and an outdoor terrace area are sure to create new memories for campus patrons for generations to come.

At left: an indoor climbing wall is one of the many new features that will make Union South a campus focal point. The climbing wall is part of The Sett, a three-story entertainment and recreational center that features bowling, billiards, dancing, food and live music.
