CONSTRUCTION TO AFFECT CAMPUS-AREA TRAFFIC FOR SUMMER

MADISON - Two street construction projects will alter traffic in and around campus for most of the summer starting Tuesday, May 28 and continuing through August.

A City of Madison storm sewer project closed Walnut Street south of the Campus Drive overpass starting in April and will now limit inbound (eastbound) Campus Drive traffic to one lane near Walnut Street. Both outbound (westbound) lanes of Campus Drive will remain open. Severe congestion is expected during the lane closure for peak traffic hours, according to the Madison Traffic Engineering and Parking Divisions, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delay during this project.

A utility project will close North Park Street south of the intersection with Langdon Street. Traffic and the Route 80 campus bus can resume a route west on Langdon Street to North Park Street and up Observatory Drive to points west.
