RE: TIP/ NATIONAL ENERGY EXPERT TO SPEAK AT WISCONSIN ENERGY INSTITUTE OPENING

Deputy Director of the U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) Dr. Cheryl Martin will speak at the Wisconsin Energy Institute public opening on Friday, April 5.

Last week, the Department of Energy announced that ARPA-E is offering $40 million for two new programs that will engage scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs to develop technologies that shift U.S. cars and trucks off oil.

Dr. Martin leads ARPA-E's Technology-to-Market program, which helps breakthrough energy technologies succeed in the marketplace.

Please contact Falicia Hines to schedule an interview with Dr. Martin.

Visit the Wisconsin Energy Institute's website for details about the opening events (https://energy.wisc.edu/events).
