CONSTRUCTION DAMAGE CLOSES PART OF NORTH PARK STREET

North Park Street is temporarily closed between Langdon Street and Observatory Drive due to construction activity that damaged an underground pipe.

UW permit holders in Lots 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 will be required to enter and exit their lots from the west via Observatory Drive. The unexpected closure has caused a Metro Route 80 detour in the Memorial Union area. The Route 80 buses will not serve North Park Street and will not go up Bascom Hill from now until April 1. North Park Street was already closed to southbound traffic between Observatory Drive and the Humanities Building due to construction. Only northbound traffic will be permitted on this section until it reopens to both directions of traffic by Monday, April 1.
