RE: TIP/INTERNATIONAL BAJA EVENT TO BE HOSTED JUNE 13 IN BURLINGTON, WIS.
On Saturday, June 13, more than 120 teams from around the world will converge in Burlington, Wis., for a Baja design and exhibition event. Sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the event be held at the MGA Research Corp. Proving Grounds and is open to the media.
After two days of testing, the four-day event will climax June 13 with races to showcase the maneuverability, acceleration and strength of Baja vehicles built by college students. On hand will be the University of Wisconsin-Madison Baja team, led by mechanical engineering associate Glenn Bower.
Gates open at 7 a.m., with the races occurring between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Winners will be presented awards in the afternoon on Sunday, June 14.
