Re: TIP/POLITICAL EXPERTS SHARE INSIGHT ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE
Three University of Wisconsin-Madison political scientists will share their thoughts on the political and economic realties of doing business in China, Russia and the European Union with Wisconsin business leaders on Wednesday, June 10, in Wisconsin Dells.
They will speak at the Business Leadership Summit sponsored by the WMC Foundation, the educational arm of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, an event that will bring together state business leaders at the Chula Vista resort.
As part of the program, Melanie Manion, professor of political science and public affairs, will discuss the challenges of the market in China at 8:30 a.m. Scott Gelbach, associate professor of political science, will follow at 9:15 a.m., exploring the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Russia. At 10:15 a.m., Nils Ringe, assistant professor of political science will present the balances necessary when working with the European Union.
Cost for attending the summit is $50, but media members wishing to cover the event are welcome to attend free of charge.
