RE: TIP/LATEST BADGER POLL RESULTS
The attitudes of Wisconsin residents on the race for the White House, the economy, health care and other major issues have been surveyed for the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Badger Poll, and the results will be released beginning next week.
The findings of the scientific poll of more than 500 randomly chosen Wisconsin residents, conducted by the University of Wisconsin Survey Center, will be released on this schedule:
- Monday, April 28, at 10 a.m.: Wisconsin residents' sentiments on the presidential election.
- Tuesday, April 29, at 10 a.m.: Public opinion on the economy.
- Thursday, May 1, at 10 a.m.: Opinions on environmental issues.
More results regarding the issues of health care, Iraq and job approval ratings for the governor, state legislators, the U.S. Congress and both of Wisconsin's U.S. senators will be released during the week of May 5. A schedule for release will be announced in coming days.
All of the results will be posted at: http://www.uwsc.wisc.edu/bpoll.htm.
The Badger Poll is intended to be a poll of record for the state, investigating matters of concern to state residents including politics, culture and their daily lives.
Questions about the poll content and results can be directed to Katherine Cramer Walsh, professor in the Department of Political Science, at (608) 347-8528.
