- Dean of students, police urge vigilance after downtown robberies Oct. 1, 2009 In the wake of several robberies in the Madison community, the University of Wisconsin Police Department (UWPD), the Offices of the Dean of Students and Madison Police Department (MPD) are again reminding students to watch out for one another, especially at night.

UW-Madison officials are actively monitoring reports of swine flu that is affecting Mexico, with additional cases in California and Texas.
- UPDATE: Power restored to east campus April 10, 2009 As of 12:27 p.m., power has been restored to all buildings. Workers on Library Mall or East Campus Mall may have hit a line, causing the outages.
