- Obey to address economic injustice in Kastenmeier Lecture Sept. 30, 2008 U.S. Rep. David Obey, chair of the powerful House Committee on Appropriations, will discuss economic injustice and the gap between rich and poor Americans in the annual Kastenmeier Lecture on Monday, Oct. 13, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School.
- Former state Supreme Court justice to teach at UW Law School Sept. 24, 2008 Louis Butler Jr., a former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice and the first African American to sit on the state's highest court, will teach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School.

Although many people rely on commercially available genetic tests for insights into their ancestry, consumers should be aware of significant limitations in such testing, according to a group of researchers commenting in today's issue of the journal Science.
