- Four finalists named for UW-Madison chancellor May 7, 2008 University of Wisconsin System President Kevin P. Reilly today announced four finalists who are being considered for the position of UW-Madison chancellor.
- Groundbreaking held for Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery May 6, 2008 Gov. Jim Doyle and UW-Madison alumni John and Tashia Morgridge joined the UW-Madison community on May 2 to celebrate the start of construction of the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
- Four named as University Health Services director finalists April 21, 2008 Four candidates have been selected as finalists for the position of executive director of University Health Services (UHS), University of Wisconsin-Madison Vice Chancellor for Administration Darrell Bazzell announced today.
- UW-Madison names vice provost for diversity, climate March 26, 2008 Damon Williams has been named vice provost for diversity and climate, the University of Wisconsin-Madison's chief diversity officer. He will start on Aug. 1.

Chancellor John D. Wiley, who has earned a reputation as a campus builder and a farsighted leader since becoming the University of Wisconsin-Madison's chief executive in 2001, announced today that he will step down in September 2008.
- Next vice provost for diversity and climate candidate to visit Dec. 4-5 Dec. 3, 2007 The University of Wisconsin-Madison has announced campus visits for three finalists for the position of vice provost for diversity and climate.
- Van Kekerix named interim dean for Division of Continuing Studies Nov. 26, 2007 Marv Van Kekerix, provost and vice chancellor of University of Wisconsin-Extension will fill the role of interim vice provost for livelong learning and dean of UW-Madison's Division of Continuing Studies.
- Vice provost for diversity and climate finalists announced Nov. 7, 2007 The University of Wisconsin-Madison has narrowed its search for a vice provost for diversity and climate to three finalists.
- Submissions now accepted for vice provost for faculty and staff Oct. 17, 2007 Nominations and applications are being accepted for the position of vice provost for faculty and staff.
- Senior management changes announced at UHS Oct. 17, 2007 Longtime University Health Services Executive Director Kathleen Poi will retire on Nov. 9, to be succeeded on an interim basis by UHS director of prevention services Susan Crowley.
