Web chat for Parents of First-Year Students

The UW–Madison Parent Program will host a live Web chat designed for parents of first-year students from noon–1:30 p.m. (CDT) on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
Staff members from the Parent Program, Center for the First Year Experience, University Housing, Office of Student Financial Aid, University Health Services, University Police, campus advising, the Registrar's Office and the Division of Information Technology will be on hand to answer parent questions about move-in and the initial transition of first-year students to campus life.
In addition, panelists can field questions about important things to bring, Wisconsin Welcome, relationships with roommates and friends, healthy eating, homesickness, academics, advising and financial aid.
