Web chat: New Badger Partnership
Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2011, 12:30-1:15 p.m. CST, CST
Chancellor Biddy Martin will chat with the campus community to answer questions and share thoughts about UW-Madison’s future under an expected proposal that would give the university additional flexibilities and distinguish it as a public authority.
The event will be held from 12:30-1:15 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, Feb. 24.
Originally called The New Badger Partnership and discussed extensively over the past year, the plan would allow for the use of more efficient management practices and innovation in tuition, personnel policies, facilities management and purchasing. With a stronger and more flexible business model, the university would be able to deliver more graduates, create more jobs and find cost savings – all while preserving the public accountability and transparency.
Chat participants are encouraged to submit their own questions or simply sit back and observe the chat. For those who can’t participate in the live chat, a complete HTML transcript will be posted immediately following.
