Web chat: Financial aid
Questions about financial aid for next year? We have answers!
Quite simply, financial aid for college can be a complex topic for students and their families to navigate.
To make things easier, the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) and the UW–Madison Parent Program are teaming up to host a live informational Web chat to answer a wide range of general questions from students and parents.
The event will be held from noon–1 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, February 18.
Topics may include information about filling out the FAFSA (the Free Application for Federal Student Aid), work-study opportunities, common sense financial tips for students on campus, eligibility requirements for aid and the Madison Initiative for Undergraduates.
We encourage participants to submit questions or to simply sit back and observe the chat. If you can’t participate in the live chat, check back after the event for a complete transcript.
Keep in mind that the goal of the panel is to provide general information and resources. We advise students and families with very specific questions about their own aid situations to contact OSFA for individualized assistance.
Panelists for the chat include:
- Mary Condon, Kate Dike, Karla Weber, Joselyn Diaz-Valdes of the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Patti Lux-Weber and Stephanie Benson-Gonzales of the UW-Madison Parent Program
If you have questions in advance of the chat or would like more information, email the Parent Program at email@example.com.
