Employees have opportunities to learn about HR Design

Several opportunities to learn more about HR Design, the campus’s new human resources system, are coming in the next two months.

A webinar is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29 from noon to 1 p.m. Webinar participants will learn the background and goals of HR Design, and can ask questions about what the new human resources system means for them. Key aspects of HR Design will begin on July 1.

To participate, log in to the webinar from a computer with audio and an Internet connection at least 10–15 minutes prior to the start time to ensure connection. Please register for the webinar at this link. Questions should be emailed to Lindsay Lemmer.

An upcoming brownbag lunch meeting will focus on the employee category choice facing classified exempt employees who will have the opportunity to choose whether to become university staff or academic staff. The brownbag is scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12. See details and registration info at this link.

In addition to the webinar, information sessions are scheduled for February. The first will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, at the Gordon Dining and Event Center. This session will be conducted in English only.

To accommodate third shift employees, the next information session is scheduled for 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Health Sciences Learning Center. This session will be conducted in English, with Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan and Mandarin Chinese interpretation available.

The final session is from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, in Union South. This session will be in English with Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan and Mandarin Chinese interpretation available.

All rooms are wheelchair accessible. Requests for ASL interpretation should be made no less than 10 days before the session at hrdesign@news.wisc.edu.
