Both finalists have been invited to make presentations on their experiences in publishing and vision for UW Press. The talks are open to the public, and will be held in Room 126 of Memorial Library.

Dennis Lloyd, deputy director for sales, marketing and acquisitions at University Press of Florida, will speak at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22.

Kathy Borkowski, director of Wisconsin Historical Society Press, will speak at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26.

The successful candidate will take over leadership of UW Press form Lea Jacobs, film professor and associate vice chancellor for arts and humanities, who was named interim director in the fall.

The Press, a division of UW–Madison’s Graduate School, has published more than 3,000 books since 1937. It boasts more than 1,400 titles in print, and publishes 11 peer-reviewed journals in the humanities, social sciences and medicine.
