Houseplant sale set Sept. 14-16

Are you hoping to hang onto some greenery as fall advances on Wisconsin? If so, the UW Horticulture Society has a plant sale that should be just the ticket.

The annual event will be held from Friday, Sept. 14 through Sunday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Stock Pavilion, 1675 Linden Drive.

The society is offering houseplants in every shape, size, sun tolerance and hardiness. Whether you already have a green thumb or are a novice looking for plants to outfit your apartment or dorm room, the sale will provide the greenery you’re looking for.

In addition to an assortment of cacti, herbs, orchids, carnivorous plants, and other varieties of houseplants, the group is selling a range of containers, high-quality potting soil, and providing free advice.
