FanCam captures the excitement of the 98th Rose Bowl
Dec. 31, 2011
Thousands of football fans will have a chance to prove they were present on Monday, Jan. 2, when the first-ever Rose Bowl Game FanCam presented by VIZIO comes to the 2012 Rose Bowl game as Wisconsin faces off against Oregon.
What is the FanCam? This high-definition image will capture the Rose Bowl Stadium in its entirety, and fans will be able to “step inside” the 360-degree gigapixel image and look around during this frozen moment in time.
The resolution of 20 billion pixels is so high that fans will be able to zoom in to find themselves or their friends, “tag” themselves in the photo, and share via email, Facebook and Twitter. Fans can even cruise around Rose Bowl Stadium to see who else was present at the game.
FanCam made its Camp Randall Stadium debut earlier this season for Wisconsin’s game against Nebraska in the Cornhuskers’ Big Ten opener.
Fans who visit the FanCam, whether they attended the game or not, will have the opportunity to watch video, play games and enter for a chance to win a VIZIO Home Entertainment System, comprised of a Blu-Ray player, HDTV, sound bar and Tablet.
Fans can follow updates here and will be notified as soon as the FanCam is available for tagging on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
